Commercial heat, not a boiler-swap advert

This page is for site-scale and commercial heat pump projects — buildings, campuses and portfolios. WattFund is not a domestic installer directory and does not sell a consumer product.

Start with building heat demand

A usable heat project starts with how the building is used: occupancy, fabric, existing plant, temperature requirements and whether heat is needed for space, water or process. Missing demand data should stay labelled as missing.

System assessment and design

Heat pumps, associated emitters, thermal storage and electrical supply have to work as a system. Feasibility and design are often the next step before anyone can cost or fund the work.

Project costing and funding requirements

A delivery estimate turns an idea into something parties can discuss. Capital is a separate conversation: some sites self-fund, others need construction finance or a delivery partner with a commercial model. WattFund does not invent either figure.

Delivery partners

Installers, designers and specialists are introduced when that is the gap — not as a mandatory marketplace stage. WattFund does not install heat pumps itself.

What WattFund will not claim

WattFund does not promise government grants, tariffs or scheme eligibility. If a public incentive is relevant, it has to be established for that project. Nothing here is a guarantee of cost, carbon saving or capital.

WHO THIS IS FOR

  • A commercial building, campus or portfolio can be a starting point. You do not need a finished heat-loss model to describe what you are trying to change.

  • If a low-carbon heat project is already in design, the gap may be costing, electrical capacity, a delivery partner or capital rather than another concept note.

  • Heat contractors and designers can meet structured requirements where a project actually needs assessment, design or installation.
