What this policy covers
This page describes how WattFund uses cookies and similar browser storage on wattfund.com. It reflects what the public website actually does today. It is a structural draft pending professional legal review.
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. WattFund also uses first-party local storage for the same kinds of job: remembering a choice you have made, or keeping a signed-in session working.
Your choices
On a first eligible visit the public site shows a cookie banner. You can accept optional cookies, reject them, or manage preferences. The banner does not reappear on every page load once a choice is stored.
You can change that choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer, or from this page. Essential storage stays on because the site cannot remember your preference without it.
Essential storage
Required for core site functionality, security and remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be switched off from the banner.
- Cookie preference: stored in first-party local storage under the key wattfund-cookie-consent. It records whether optional analytics is allowed, a version number, and when the choice was saved.
- Signed-in sessions: if you create or use a WattFund account, the authentication service needs essential cookies so you stay signed in and the account remains secure.
- Interface essentials: storage needed for security and core navigation. Blocking this class of storage can prevent sign-in from working.
Analytics (optional)
WattFund does not currently load an analytics or measurement script on the public website. The Analytics preference exists so a future measurement tool can be added without pretending it is already running.
If you reject optional cookies, analytics stays off. If you accept all, or turn Analytics on in preferences, that choice is stored so a future script can check it before loading. No measurement script should load unless that check passes.
What WattFund does not currently use
There is no marketing or advertising tracker on the public website, so there is no Marketing category in the preference panel. Functional extras that would need a separate optional toggle are not in use either.
- No advertising pixels
- No social-media share trackers
- No third-party video embeds on the public pages that would set extra cookies
Calendly booking
If you choose to book a 10-minute WattFund introduction, WattFund loads Calendly only when that booking experience is opened. Calendly is a third-party calendar service and may set its own cookies or similar storage to provide the booking widget. It is not loaded on every page, and it is not used as a WattFund analytics or marketing tracker.
You can also open the booking link in a new tab if you prefer not to use the embedded calendar. Resend transactional email is sent from WattFund’s servers and does not use browser cookies.
Typography
The public site loads the Manrope typeface from Google Fonts so the brand renders consistently. That is a request to Google’s font service for stylesheets and font files. It is not treated as an optional analytics or marketing tracker, and it is not switched from the cookie banner.
How to change your mind
Use Cookie settings in the site footer, or the control on this page, to reopen preferences. You can also clear site data in your browser. Clearing storage will forget the saved choice and the banner will appear again on the next eligible visit.
